Sci-Fi Books I want to Read


A while ago, I did posts about classics I want to read and contemporaries I want to read.  I decided to make a post similar to those about sci-fi books I want to read.

Sci-fi isn’t really a genre that I’ve read much of, but I always enjoy it when I do.  If you read a lot of sci-fi, then you’ve probably read these already.  If, like me, you don’t read much in this genre, though, hopefully you’ll find something here that interests you, too!

Book Thoughts: My Lady Jane


A couple of weeks ago, I read My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows, and I loved it!  I had so many thoughts about it, so I decided to talk about it in the new series that I’m doing on here, Book Thoughts.  If you don’t know what this series is, read my first Book Thoughts post to get an idea of what this is all about!

Journal Ideas

If you’re anything like me, you love journals and notebooks.  But, one problem I always have when I get a new journal or notebook is that I don’t know what to write in it.  This situation is frustrating and can lead to me having a big stack of empty journals.

Self-care Tips

The last couple of weeks for me have been stressful, busy, and just all-around crazy.  During times like that, it’s tempting to push yourself as much as you can and say you’ll rest once you have more time.  But, one thing I have learned recently is that it’s super important to take care of yourself during the chaotic times, not just when everything’s going your way.  I know I have a problem with this, and I’m sure other people do, too.

So, I thought that, for today’s post, I would give you some tips for self-care.  Some of these tips are things you can do right away for a few minutes to feel more relaxed right away.  Others are things to keep in the back of your mind and try to do over a longer period of time.

Book Thoughts: Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Happy Valentine’s Day!  I hope you all are having a good day full of flowers, chocolate, and love.

Since today is all about love (and I love books), I thought it would be a good time to start a series of blog posts that I’ve been thinking about doing for a while.  This new series is going to be called Book Thoughts, and it’s basically going to be a series of blog posts where I talk about a book that I’ve read recently.

They’re not going to be reviews so much as my thoughts about it.  Sometimes, I’ll mention things that I didn’t like.  But, other times, I’ll just spend the entire post fangirling.  Just whatever fits how I feel!  Also, there will be little to no spoilers, so you can read this even if you haven’t read the book I’m talking about!

So, for this first post in this new series, I’m going to be talking about Cinder by Marissa Meyer.
